Support with short term solutions; for navigating grief, despair and loss; and life's challenges, with long term outcomes.

Winter is a time where we want our home comforts, we want to stay secure at home and feel less inclined to be out and about socialising. It is also a time of introspection and reflection. Such times can feel overwhelming and remind us of how far we have towards achieving the goals and aspirations of our lives.
Despite the cold and grey it is even more important in the winter months to be out and about and get some sunlight. Being active is hardest when we want to stay undercovers and stay warm. A good reframe to help be active is ’get up get out and do something.’ As long as your can walk around the block, weed the garden bed, organise the taxes or achieve a little win every day. It is these little wins and achievements that in time cascade into change you seek in your life.
To discuss reframing and other supports to keep you motivated and moving forward in life, reach out to Mountain Light Insights for a yarn today.
At Mountain Light Insights, we are dedicated to offering compassionate bereavement counselling services to individuals facing grief and despair. Our mission is to provide grief support to our clients as they navigate their healing journey, empowering them to find hope and light in their lives after loss. We offer an evening service to make it more accessible for those caught up with work and the daily challenges of life.
Despair is the feeling of being overwhelmed by loss, while grief is the emotional response to the passing of a loved one or significant changes in your life, such as an unexpected career shift or the end of a relationship. Grief can manifest in various ways for each individual, and for some, bereavement counselling can be beneficial in navigating the grieving process. Bereavement reflects how we experience loss, which may include feelings of loneliness, sadness, or hopelessness following the death of a person, pet, or even as a result of a natural disaster. To support your mental health during these profound changes, we offer grief support through cognitive behavioural therapy and person-centred approaches, helping you to process and move forward from your loss.
Throughout our lives, we encounter various moments that can feel overwhelming, especially during times of despair or loss. It may seem like everything is beyond your control, resulting in a hard and unrelenting struggle, or you might feel directionless, grappling with grief that seems pointless and devoid of meaning. If you find yourself in such a period, or if you simply need someone to talk to, bereavement counselling can provide invaluable support. Our general counselling services, which include solutions-focused and cognitive behaviour therapy models, are designed to help you navigate your mental health challenges. Depending on your individual needs, we will work with you to provide the best support possible.
Consultation sessions are 50 minutes - $80.00.
At Mountain Light Insights, we believe in the long-term benefits of our counselling approach, including bereavement counselling and grief support, which is why we offer a lower upfront fee for our services. Everyone’s needs are different, whether you're dealing with despair from a recent loss or seeking mental health support, and we will guide you along your journey for as long or as short as you need.
Two years after your final session, you, the Client, will be contacted to reflect on how Mountain Light Insights has enabled you to succeed and move forward in your life. If you feel you have achieved an improved long-term outcome from your counselling experience, you can voluntarily choose to make a final payment of any amount to acknowledge the benefits you’ve gained from counselling with Mountain Light Insights.
